 I used a Chi straightener for many, many years. I recently sold it after trying this straightener! I have long, thick, coarse hair. As you can imagine the process of straightening has always been a long process for me. I was amazed at how this straightener made the process so much shorter. It usually takes at least 45 minutes to do my hair. Within 25-30 minutes my hair is straight and I am ready to walk out the door. Some of the pluses for me are: takes under 30 seconds to heat up, I can control how hot I want my straightener to be,  and the automatic shutoff. My hair is so so much softer, pin straight, and shiner since using this straightener. The heat resistant carry bag is a plus as well. I no longer have to wait for my straightener to cool down.
