Review: Spiral Light Candle in Cinnamon

Spiral Light candles are a new twist on an old staple.

The candle appears to be a large pillar candle with a rather hollow center and two wicks: a wide wooden wick in the center and a small fabric wick embedded into the inner-edge of the candle wall.

You begin by lighting the fabric wick on the edge and watch, in amazement, as it burns in a spiral, slowly melting the outer wax back into the previously hollow center.  The horizontal spiraling wick self extinguishes when the inside wax level reaches the top of the spiral, to prevent any spilling, which creates a solid pillar candle.  Once the outer wick extinguishes, the inner center is now full and you can light the inner wooden wick.  This second wick lasts longer and burns in a more traditional manner.

Burn Times:
  • Large: 3.5 hours for Spiral and 44 hours for Pillar
  • Medium: 1.5 hours for Spiral and 37 hours for Pillar
  • Small: 45 minutes for Spiral and 24 hours for Pillar
 My thoughts:
I am obsessed with candles and my home smelling good. I was very anxious to try the spiral candle as I had never heard of them until recently. My son and I enjoyed watching it burn. We have never seen anything like this. Once the first process is done you are left with the inner center full and you can light the inner wooden wick. Its like getting two candles in one! Cinnamon is not my favorite but I will definitely look into trying other scents in the future. Check them out if you LOVE candles like I do.
