Hisamitsu America is the US division of Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Co., Inc., founded in 1847, which has specialized in transdermal drug delivery system technology since the introduction of its Salonpas line of patches in 1934. The SALONPAS product line, which gained early acceptance in Asia and now sells in 50 countries, has pioneered the development of transdermal patches to relieve everyday aches and pains. Today, the Salonpas Pain Relief Patches are the first and only FDA-approved OTC pain patch.
Salonpas was kind enough to send me a few products to try out.
Salonpas DEEP Relieving Gel contains three active ingredients, camphor (3.1%), menthol (10%), and methyl salicylate (15%), that penetrate deep, providing effective relief for up to 8 hours.
Review: Out of all of the products we were sent this was my husbands favorite. He suffers with pain from a bad disc in his back and this helped with the pain greatly. He likes that its clear and not greasy at all. It helped with the pain within minutes. It melts fast and absorbs quickly.

and joints aches and pains associated with arthritis, sprains, strains,
bruises and simple backache. The patches provide relief for up to 12 hours. The patches contain two powerful pain fighting ingredients menthol and methyl salicylate. (a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug)
Review: I recently had a stomach bug and my stomach was cramping so bad. I decided to put a patch on my stomach to see if it would help and I was amazed. The cramps slowly went away and I felt so much better. My husband also likes to rotate between the gel and patches. He was very impressed with the patches. His only complaint is he is hairy and they had a hard time stay on his lower back.
